A Family-Run Business
I’m Joe, and I bring over 12 years of experience as a professional painter and decorator. Coming from a family of painters, I’ve built The Greener Painter on values of trust, quality, and care. Today, we’re a small, skilled team known for putting customers first – and our happy clients prove it.
Unlike larger companies, I personally manage every job from start to finish. When you work with The Greener Painter, you’ll deal directly with me – no middlemen, no runarounds, just personal service and clear communication. I work closely with you and my team every day to ensure everything runs smoothly and delivers exactly what you want.
I started the Greener Painter because of something my wife and I noticed after redecorating our house. Our daughter had developed a worrying rash and sore throat that lasted for several weeks. We couldn’t understand why. Until we discovered the culprit: traditional paints.
I discovered that traditional paints contain volatile organic compounds (VOCs). These can affect indoor air quality and cause health problems, including skin irritation. This experience set us on a path to learn more about ecological ‘clean’ paints and sustainable decorating techniques.
We have combined our experience and team of expert decorators with our newfound deep knowledge of ecological paints, materials and techniques to create The Greener Painter.
Since then, it’s been a priority to use safer, low-VOC paints after seeing how regular ones had impacted my daughter. That’s why we provide a full range of residential painting and decorating services, including the use of non-toxic, eco-friendly paints.

What We Do
We offer a wide range of painting and decorating services designed to transform interior rooms or building exteriors. In addition, we can offer wallpapering, restoration, or custom finishes. These services include restoring Victorian coving and finishing walls with a choice of decorative finishes, including lime wash and micro cement.
